Congrats!

Congrats with shabd and thanks for making me feel that I was still a part of the board! come up with a mag that makes last year's look bad!!

What next?

SHABD'09 is over. If you missed it, then all you have to do is wait till next year. Because we're definitely going to come back bigger and better than before.

In the meantime, for all those who don't know, JC-ED comprises about 20 members. Right now, we are on the lookout for fresh budding talent. Be it for your creativity, a penchant for editing or just downright verbal awesomeness (Hey, we're JC-ED. We can play with words, can't we?), make sure you attend the JC-ED recruitment test. And no, this is NOT going to be like placements. We just want to increase our ranks by initiating some new members.

Keep an eye on this blog for further details.

One More Step towards "Converging Creativity"

Who we are ?
The SJCE editorial board is a group of like minded individuals who strive to bring out the hidden literary talent from within the student body. We provide them two such platforms to enhance and display their creativity and imagination.
The annual magazine- Jayzine and the literary festival- ||shabd||

Jayzine or the JCE magazine is the official college magazine of SJCE. It started out in the early ‘70s and this literary masterpiece is a symbol of the support and enthusiasm that is found in no other engineering college. It showcases art, sketches, photography along with exemplerary literary works like short stories, poems, chutukus, interviews, polls etc. of the student body in three different languages. ie Kannada, Hindi and English.

Why this blog ?
It is our tradition to bring out a newsletter during every ||shabd|| we celebrate. As we were getting a tremendous response from both the student and staff members of our college, we had something new in our mind for this ||shabd||. We thought of reaching out the people from around the state with this blog which is another face of our creativity.
This blog is a reflection of the thoughts of we board members. This has every information about ||shabd||,  Jayzine and the JC-Ed. This is just everything about US.

Ps : feel free to browse through the blog. Comments are always welcome.
